Emergency Service Shaheed Sardar Mohammad Dawod khan Hospital

The Emergency Service at Shaheed Sardar Mohammad Dawod khan  Hospital was established in 2002 and provides services in both surgical and internal medicine departments. This service operates with 19 active beds, accepting patients and casualties 24/7. Upon arrival, patients and casualties receive necessary treatment and care from the emergency doctors.

If further hospitalization is required, they are transferred to the appropriate wards The Emergency Service is equipped with a trauma team, including specialists in orthopedic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, urology, and other surgical departments.

This team is always prepared to receive and treat casualties, especially during mass casualty events. Internal medicine doctors also provide necessary treatments to patients as much as possible.

Additionally, the Emergency Service has an operating room with two active tables where minor surgeries and other surgical procedures are performed. The X-ray room in the Emergency Service has undergone multiple repairs, but due to technical issues, the X-ray machines are currently inactive. Some patients are kept under observation by attending doctors and, after a diagnosis, are either discharged with the necessary medication or transferred to other wards for further hospitalization.

The Emergency Service has a nursing team that provides initial medical assistance and care to patients and casualties Furthermore, five staff members are assigned to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the Emergency Service. There is also one administrative staff member responsible for handling administrative tasks, including work reports and patient records. Under the umbrella of the Emergency Service, there is an ambulance unit with drivers available 24/7 to transport patients and casualties.
